Neuropsychology Services FAQs

A neuropsychological evaluation is tailored to address concerns about some form of cognitive functioning. There are four parts to an evaluation:

Interviews occur with the patient, family members, and other caregivers who provide helpful feedback about the patient and their suspected condition. During the process, we may also review medical and school records.

Assessment and testing is the next step in a neuropsychology evaluation. Testing varies based on the condition but may include written and oral tests designed for observation.

Feedback sessions are scheduled to report findings, answer questions, and provide recommendations for the patient and their parents or caregivers.

Full written reports are completed for the parents, school system, or other approved organizations.

The amount of time required to complete a neuropsychological evaluation varies depending on individual symptoms. Testing may take from one to eight hours, with an average length of three to four hours. Once testing is completed, Dr. Cristi Salinas will personally prepare your full written report, which takes approximately 5 hours. You can expect to receive your full report within 2 weeks of your feedback session.

Your initial consult is with Dr. Cristi Salinas, the founder of Neuropsychology Concierge. Then, your scheduled appointment, testing, and reporting are personally completed with Dr. Cristi Salinas or Dr. Krista Greenfield.

When your evaluation is complete, Dr. Cristi Salinas will prepare a written report for you within two weeks of your feedback appointment. A follow-up appointment will be set to discuss the results of the testing. This discussion may include recommendations for treatment and strategies to improve the condition or environment the patient is in (e.g., school, work).
